FALL RALLY 2009 NEWS: 2009 Fall Rally IS ON! DON'T call Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. They will only tell you that they are not having bike rallies anymore. What they really mean is that they are not sponsoring events or permitting vendors in the city limits of Myrtle Beach for any motorcycle related rallies under current regulations. What they are not telling you is Myrtle Beach city is only a 5 mile area in the center of the Grand Strand of over 60 miles of beaches. The remainder of the Grand Strand is planning on welcoming you. So don't let politics prevent you from enjoying the benefits theis area has to offer. Even when the best places to visit for bikers DON'T happen to be within the city limits. Anyway, here as some bullet points to remember...
Bring, wear, buy a helmet since the city of Myrtle Beach may be requiring you to wear a helmet if you travel through it.
Keep noise levels to minimum around town
Two bikes per parking space maximum
Obey all posted signs
Come and have a great time
This rally, formally known as "Myrtle Beach Bike Week" or "Myrtle Beach Fall Rally" will be promoted as "THE GRAND STRAND BIKE RALLY!". Voice your opinion on how Myrtle Beach area is handling the future of the Rally on our blog! Grand Strand Businesses can Enter their Events for FREE! Since 1998 Jamin' Leather has been putting together this Event Guide to promote area businesses that offer services to our biker friends. The Event Guides will be distributed all over the Grand Strand including the City of Myrtle Beach to approximately 400 locations.
WANTED at JAMIN' LEATHER: Motorcycle Dealers, antique or custom Bike Builders to display their bikes, as well as Street Performers that wish to showcase their talent during the rally. A prime location and a great opportunity for great exposure to solicit your act and free use of our stage. Just ask StickMan of Key West (chainsaw juggler), Dixie Dream Dancers, and Elvis-Wayne who-all performed last spring. There is a stage built on site if needed. RALLY CHARITY NEWS: Spring 2009 Jamin' Leather raised $5,720.69 for the American Red Cross during their bi-anual leather charity auction held every rally. This fall Jamin' Leather adds another charity called Veterans Empowered, a non-profit agency to enhance the lives of our veterans who have experienced hardships through their service. This fundraiser will include a show by "Carolina Bad Boys Comedy" every day of the rally at 12 Noon to 1pm and raffles.
Jamin' Leather Inc is a proud sponsor of the American Red Cross and dedicated their time, inventory, money and have raised ten's of thousands of dollars for the ARC ever since 2002.
